KB Collection Window Black Moving Sand Art by kinetic sand artist Klaus Bosch (The Sandman)

The Window series is an original moving sand art classic since 1998. The KB Collection Window Black Moving Sand Art is made of beech wood and finished with black matte lacquer with coated steel posts.  The sand is the Sandman’s classic sand blend, White, Ash, Ruby and Gold glitter. The Window series is an elegant addition to the KB Collection.  This design allows you to have a see-through look and rotate the sand picture with-out picking it up.

The Window Black Moving Sand Art is 13 x 9” and is a perfect addition to any Home, Office Desktop, Mantle, or Bookshelf making it ideal for any setting. With this sleek modern black design and classic sand blend, The Window Black is destined to go with any decor. If you are giving this as a gift, you know it will be a gift that they talk about for years to come! Your Window Black Moving Sand Art will do several times a day what mother earth takes millions of years to accomplish.

Due to the handcrafted nature of each item, each piece bears its own unique qualities.

How it Works:

The KB Collection moving sand art is interactive, ever-changing, mesmerizing and versatile handcrafted art pieces. Turn the sand picture over to watch the battle of the elements: The sand just wants to settle at the bottom, the air just wants to escape to the top, the water hosts the party. The result is the sand trickles between the air bubbles to create fascinating stratifications in the sand mountains.

You can tilt the Window Black Moving Sand Art at a slight angle to observe a different presentation of sand on the front and backside.  Tilt at a greater angle and watch the sand crawl down the glass (the heavier sands will fall to the back. It is quite striking!) More air creates a slower flow of sand resulting in a delicate trickle of sand making more dramatic peaks and valleys. Less air creates a faster flow of sand making dune shapes. Best of all, these handcrafted art pieces are equipped with an air hole to last for years on end, allowing for you to regulate the amount of air in each sand picture so you can make the sand fall as fast or as slow as you want.

Artist Klaus "Sandman" Bosch

About The Sandman

Klaus Bosch (aka Sandman) has been making his KB Collection Sand Art in Lustenau, Austria since 1988.  He has a small crew of less than a dozen employees at his sand factory. Sandman's sand art has been in the display windows (worldwide) of Louis Vuitton and Nordstroms.  He has been commissioned to make special gifts for Kings, Sultans, and famous dignitaries.  His art can be found in hotels, spas and businesses around the globe. His wild love for nature drives his inspiration and helps capture the beauty and express it in a sandpicture.
From Sandman:  "My sand art is spiritual, it contains a lot of questions and indicates answers at the same time.  It involves the beauty of what art once was while trying to give answers to our spirit and our inner calm."

    Relaxing

I love my sand art. It is so relaxing to watch and love to see the different pictures it makes after it all falls to the bottom of the frame.
