How it Works:

The KB Collection moving sand art is interactive, ever-changing, mesmerizing and versatile handcrafted art pieces. Turn the sand picture over to watch the battle of the elements: The sand just wants to settle at the bottom, the air just wants to escape to the top, the water hosts the party. The result is the sand trickles between the air bubbles to create fascinating stratification in the sand mountains. More air creates a slower flow of sand resulting in a delicate trickle of sand making more dramatic peaks and valleys. Less air creates a faster flow of sand making dune shapes. Best of all, these handcrafted art pieces are equipped with an air hole to last for years on end, allowing for you to regulate the amount of air in each sand picture so you can make the sand fall as fast or as slow as you want.

Flow time: 10 min – 1 hr

Due to the handcrafted nature of each item, each piece bears its own unique qualities.

About the Sandman

Artist Klaus "Sandman" BoschKlaus Bosch (aka Sandman) has been making his KB Collection Sand Art in Lustenau, Austria since 1988.  He has a small crew of less than a dozen employees at his sand factory. Sandman's sand art has been in the display windows (worldwide) of Louis Vuitton and Nordstroms.  He has been commissioned to make special gifts for Kings, Sultans, and famous dignitaries.  His art can be found in hotels, spas and businesses around the globe. His wild love for nature drives his inspiration and helps capture the beauty and express it in a sandpicture.

From Sandman:  "My sand art is spiritual, it contains a lot of questions and indicates answers at the same time.  It involves the beauty of what art once was while trying to give answers to our spirit and our inner calm."
